Software Systems Integration (SSI) Training Program
The following courses make up the SSI Learning Track:
- Principles of Systems Engineering
- Critical Thinking, Decision and Risk Analysis
- Software Engineering and Quality Assurance
- Systems Requirements
- System Architecture & Design
- Modern Enterprise System Architectures
- Modern Enterprise System Development
The SSI classes are all:
- 5 days
- Monday – Friday
- 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Students can expect to perform both individual and group exercises and activities in each class. These exercises reinforce or apply concepts from daily learning modules. Student participation and collaboration is expected to maximize learning outcomes for everyone.
AUDIENCE
The SSI track was designed for anyone seeking to gain a deeper understanding of Systems & Software Engineering and Integration principles as applied to modern real world complex projects and systems.
This audience includes but is not limited to: Systems and Software Engineers, Project and Program Managers, Business and Mission Leaders, System Architects, Systems Analysts, Systems Administrators, Quality Assurance Personnel, and Configuration Managers.
PRE-REQUISITES
Students in the program should have at least one year of work experience in an Engineering, IT and/or Systems domain; a working knowledge of IT and systems concepts and terminology, and good analytical skills. An understanding of the basic concepts of statistics, algebra and calculus is also recommended.
Is there a discount available for current students?
UMBC students and alumni, as well as students who have previously taken a public training course with UMBC Training Centers are eligible for a 10% discount, capped at $250. Please provide a copy of your UMBC student ID or an unofficial transcript or the name of the UMBC Training Centers course you have completed. Asynchronous courses are excluded from this offer.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Student will receive a refund of paid registration fees only if UMBC Training Centers receives a notice of cancellation at least 10 business days prior to the class start date for classes or the exam date for exams.
