CompTIA Tech+

CompTIA Tech+ (FC0-U71) introduces foundational technology knowledge and skills. The CompTIA Tech+ exam focuses on the essential technology skills and knowledge needed to perform tasks commonly performed by advanced end-users and entry-level IT professionals alike, including:

• Understanding and managing IT infrastructure, including hardware and networks.
• Applying software applications and development principles to solve problems and enhance organizational efficiency.
• Implementing cybersecurity measures to help safeguard information against threats and vulnerabilities.
• Embracing emerging technologies such as AI and IoT, understanding their impact and how they’re shaping the future of IT.
• Developing a data management and database fundamentals foundation, crucial for data-driven decision-making.

This exam is intended for candidates who are advanced end users and/or are considering a career in IT. The exam is also a good fit for individuals interested in pursuing professional-level certifications, such as CompTIA A+.

This course prepares students for the CompTIA Tech+ Exam. The CompTIA Tech+ certification is considered good for life and does not need to be renewed.

• Is there funding available? This course is eligible for funding through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

• What is the cancellation and refund policy? Student will receive a refund of paid registration fees only if UMBC Training Centers receives a notice of cancellation at least 10 business days prior to the class start date for classes or the exam date for exams.
• What is Live Online training?Classes marked Live Online have the same content and expert instructors as our classroom training, but are delivered entirely online through our virtual classroom environment. Each class session is live, and led by an Instructor.
