AI-Augmented Logical Reasoning, Risk Analysis, and Critical Thinking

This course provides an overview of decision and risk analysis techniques, augmented by LLM AI tooling. It focuses on how to make rational decisions in the presence of uncertainty and conflicting objectives. AIs are employed to help discover unknown personal biases and exhaustively consider alternatives. Concepts will be illustrated through case studies and practiced by students through exercises.

• Understand proven critical thinking, decision making, and risk analysis techniques
• Make rational decisions in the presence of uncertainty and conflicting objectives
• Identify, describe, and effectively employ multiple methods for structured reasoning
• Use critical thinking techniques to provide structure to their analytic reasoning
• Augment analyses using AI-assisted methods and tools to enumerate risks and outcomes
• Apply logical reasoning to solve problems in a structured manner
• Collaborate with AI assistants and human team members to tackle more complex problems
