Overview

Our two-day Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM®) course provides a deeper understanding of Agile principles, building on foundational Scrum knowledge and strengthening skills to implement Scrum within your organization and teams. This course helps students validate their knowledge and skills as Scrum Masters, while opening themselves to new career opportunities such as Agile coaching. Facilitated discussions, exercises, games, and videos are interwoven throughout the course to engage students and bring lessons to life.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, students will have an active A-CSM® certification as long as they:

  • Hold an active Certified ScrumMaster (CSM®) certification with the Scrum Alliance.
  • Validate at least 12 months of work experience specific to the role of Scrum Master within the past five years.

Students can still attend this course even without these requirements and later complete the CSM® and/or work experience to claim their certification.

Is there a discount available for current students?

UMBC students and alumni, as well as students who have previously taken a public training course with UMBC Training Centers are eligible for a 10% discount, capped at $250. Please provide a copy of your UMBC student ID or an unofficial transcript or the name of the UMBC Training Centers course you have completed. Asynchronous courses are excluded from this offer.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Student will receive a refund of paid registration fees only if UMBC Training Centers receives a notice of cancellation at least 10 business days prior to the class start date for classes or the exam date for exams.
